J Camp is partnering with CampDoc.com for online enrollment and our electronic health record system. Updates to the CampDoc enrollment process in this past year will make the process more efficient.

Enrollment Opens in February!

This year, we have made some major changes in our J Camp enrollment process.

Families will be eligible to enroll in the following Tiers beginning:

  1. Mon., Feb. 5, 2024 at 7 a.m.Year-RoundJ Family Members who currently participate in the Child Development Center (CDC) orThe J After-School Programmay enroll inJ Camp.
  2. Tues., Feb. 6 at 7 a.m.Year-RoundJ FamilyMembers (Excludes Summer Members) may enroll in J Camp.Full-Time Membership must have been in place as of Dec. 1, 2023.
  3. Thursday Feb. 8 at 7 a.m.J Family Members who joined after Dec. 1, 2023,including Summer Membersmay enroll in J Camp.Memberships must be secured by Feb. 1, 2024 in order to enroll on this day.
  4. Fri. Feb 9 at 7 a.m.J Camp will be open to the rest of the Community.

J Camp Enrollment opens to the public onFriday Feb. 9. J Member families will receive a special link prior to their enrollment day, to provide early access to enroll. Enrollments will be checked to ensure Tiers are being followed.

Those enrolling prior to their Tier will be unenrolled and placed on the waiting list on the day they are eligible to enroll.

To Enroll in J Camp

  • When Enrollment begins for your tier, click on thespecial enrollment link that will be sent to you by email a few days prior to enrollment. If your child is a return camper, simply enter your email address and your CampDoc password to get started.
  • If you are new to J Camp, follow the prompts to create an account. You will need to use the special enrollment link to get to J Camp enrollments on the day your enrollment begins. Email [emailprotected] to request a link to create your CampDoc account.
  • You can only enroll one camper at a time.
  • You will be able to enroll your camper, select camp sessions and pay your deposit online. You will have the option to add the purchase of lunch or Early Care and/or Late Care at this time. You will also be able to set up your monthly payment schedule with all final payments due by July 15, 2024.
  • After confirming your payment at the final step of the registration process, you will be shown a confirmation with an itemized list of sessions, which will include a variation of the following:
  • Sessions you have successfully purchased.
  • Sessions that were unsuccessful or might have filled up during the registration process, along with the removal of add-ons, for those sessions.
  • Sessions that might have filled up during the registrations will be placed on the waitlist as long as the waitlist is still open (not full).
  • Payments will display on your account statement asDocNetwork, Inc. (Ann Arbor, MI)

Other Enrollment Information

  • Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Microsoft Edge are preferred browsers. Internet Explorer will not work with CampDoc.
  • You may enroll online to add camps (if available) and add-ons throughout the summer.
  • If you need to cancel or change a camp registration you will need to contact:

  • We do not have a paper enrollment option. If you have trouble enrolling online pleasecallus for assistance.

  • You will receive periodic notifications from CampDoc.com if you have an outstanding balance or have not completed required health information.

J Camp Financial Assistance

The Jewish Community Center welcomes all families to consider participation in our summer camp for kids. Enrollment in J Camp is required for financial assistance requests to be processed. For questions regarding financial assistance, contact us at 913-327-8008 or via email at [emailprotected].

Terms of Enrollment - J Camp

J Membership

  • J Membership offers a significant fee discount and advantage in the enrollment tier process.
  • In order to receive J Camp Member pricing, J Family Membership is required. Membership must be in place at the time of enrollment and while enrolled.
  • Families who are not J Members will need to enroll on the proper day for Community and pay the Community price.

Deposit/Initial Payment

  • Camp Enrollment requires a signed online enrollment form and an initialnon-refundabledeposit of $50 per week.
  • The deposit/initial payment applies to the cost of the Camp and is non-refundable except under the following circ*mstances:
  • Illness or injury that prevents a child from attending Camp. The J reserves the right to require documentation from a physician.
  • A change in circ*mstance that prevents the child from attending Camp. This will be evaluated by the Camp Director before a refund is issued.

Three Payment Method Options

  1. Payment in full at time of enrollment.
  2. Payment plan: Through CampDoc.com you can set up your own monthly payment plan via EFT or credit/debit card. All payments must be completed by July 15, 2024.
  3. If you would like to make a check or cash payment on your account, you can bring this to The J main office and we will apply it to your account balance.
  4. Payments will display on your account statement as DocNetwork, Inc. (Ann Arbor, MI)

Changes in Enrollment

  • All changes in enrollment (cancellation or switching camps) must be received in writing. For School-Aged Camp, please email[emailprotected]. For CDC Camp, please email Machaela at[emailprotected].
  • An administrative charge of $30 is assessed for changes in Camp enrollment made after April 1, 2024. Several changes can be made in one request. Changes include canceling or switching Camps. Subsequent changes will also be charged $30.
  • In order to receive a refund, less the $50 deposit, the cancellation must be received in writing no later May 1, 2024. There will be no refund on cancellations received after May 1, 2024.
  • Cancellations will change the dollar amount of your scheduled payment plan.
  • Adding a Camp is not considered a change and families are NOT assessed a change fee. A new payment plan will need to be set up to be paid in full by July 15, 2024.

Health Information

J Camp Enrollment - The J KC (2)All campers are required to have current health information on our electronic Health Information system,CampDoc.com.Families are able to submit camper information into a secure, online database, so Camp Staff can instantly access vital medical information. After you enroll for Camp, CampDoc.com will send a link to complete medical information, allergies, medication, and emergency contact information.

Those families who have already completed a CampDoc.com profile, will be able to update their prior information and sign the annual permission form. Licensing and accreditation require that we have families update the information before each camp season. All information in the health records is kept confidential and health details shared with staff only when necessary for proper care and safety.

Lunch

During J Camp, June 3-Aug. 2, Campers can choose to bring their own lunch or lunch is available on a pre-order basis to purchase (not available for Ma’asim Tovim Camp).

Campers with Special Needs

The Jewish Community Center is able to support a limited number of children with special needs for J Camp, primarily through funding by Sasone and the Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City. If your child has special needs or requires assistance to successfully function in a group setting and wants to attend J Camp,before enrolling, contact the appropriate J Camp Director to request an application for Para assistance.In addition to the J Camp enrollment fee, families are asked to pay a portion of the Para cost. Space is limited. Financial assistance is available for Para support.

Sasone, a department of the Jewish Federation, provides critically needed support for children identified with developmental or special needs to participate in a group in J Camp programs. With the help of Sasone, and other funders, we work with Staff to modify and adapt program experiences and provide Para support as available.
