Broken glass jello is the perfect example of creatively enhanced gelatin. This dessert gets its name from slivers of color that show up in every bite, thanks to the assortment of jello flavors/colors you use. Some call it stained glass jello, but broken glass jello seems to be a bit more popular.

How to Make Broken Glass Jello:
1. Start by preparing the flavored jello according to package directions. You will prepare each flavor in its own container. Preparation is very simple and typically includes mixing boiling with cold water and adding the powder packet.
2. Place the prepared jello mixtures in the refrigerator and allow to set until firm.
3. Mix the two packets of unflavored gelatin along with 1/2 cup cold water and 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Mix well until ALL of the gelatin is dissolved. Add in the condensed milk and mix well. ALLOW TO COOL.
4. Cut the prepared flavored gelatin into cubes. Assemble them at the bottom of your container or jello mold. Once the condensed milk mixture has cooled (please do not rush this or your flavored jello will melt) pour it over the colorful cubes.
Ooooh doesn’t that look pretty? Now place the container or jello mold in the fridge and allow it to set until firm. To be safe, I like to allow this dessert to set for at last 8-10 hours.

- 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk ( do not use evaporated milk, must be sweetened condensed)
- 2 packets of Knox unflavored gelatin (or generic is fine too)
- 3-5 assorted 3 ounce boxes of flavored jello
- Water
